The story behind the piece

Mark and our in-house artists spent weeks on the water alone. We researched the actual geography of that shoreline, the low hills, because we wanted the storm to feel real and not symbolic.

Every pass over the canvas began with prayer, with the question of how to paint a man who is fully in the storm and fully unshaken. The goal was never decoration. It was to bring the steady presence of Christ into the spaces where it will live.

Wrapped vs. framed canvas

Wrapped canvas — Our gallery wrap stretches the artwork over 1.5" solid wood bars, with the image flowing cleanly over the edges. It arrives ready to hang: wire, protective bumpers, and finished black backing included. Nothing else needed.

Framed canvas — Our floating frames are crafted from solid wood and set the canvas just inside, so it appears to float within the frame. Choose from black, white, silver, gold, natural wood, oak, or espresso to suit your space.
