The story behind the piece

We wanted to show where Christ is walking. So we turned Him toward the darkest part of the sky. The warm light sits behind Him, the storm gathers ahead, and He keeps moving forward.

We built the sea wave by wave, with real weight and spray, so the danger would feel honest. The question we kept coming back to was how to paint someone walking toward the very thing we run from. Our hope is that this piece hangs where hard seasons happen, as a reminder that He goes there first.
