In 1918, the tree stood in silence on the edge of the Monterey Peninsula. A year later, Pebble Beach Golf Links would open, and the world would begin to call it the Lone Cypress. Cameras would find it. Tourists would follow. A symbol would be born.
But this painting remembers it before that.

Wrapped vs. framed canvas

Wrapped canvas — Our gallery wrap stretches the artwork over 1.5" solid wood bars, with the image flowing cleanly over the edges. It arrives ready to hang: wire, protective bumpers, and finished black backing included. Nothing else needed.

Framed canvas — Our floating frames are crafted from solid wood and set the canvas just inside, so it appears to float within the frame. Choose from black, white, silver, gold, natural wood, oak, or espresso to suit your space.
