The story behind the piece

Mark and our in-house artists studied how dawn actually breaks over Jerusalem, the season of Passover, the landscape outside the city walls, so the empty grave would sit in a true place.

The painting was built through many prayerful passes, each one reaching for that turn from sorrow to hope. The intention was to bring the morning that changes everything into your home, a steady reminder that death does not have the final word.
