The story behind the piece

Where can I flee from your presence, the psalmist asks, and the answer is nowhere (Psalm 139). Each pass to create this piece was made with prayer, holding the tension of a man at his lowest and a mercy that still found him there. The intention was to remind its viewers that no failure is deep enough and no distance far enough to put them beyond the reach of God's grace.
